RMEL – Review My Elearning Tips
For those of you working in Review My Elearning to either provide or receive feedback, I have a few lessons learned to pass along. The tool is pretty straight forward and by default my team uses the core basic features. Some of the usefulness baked into the tool fade into the background while we are learning a tool and we use what we know and don’t notice the rest.
In my last couple of projects, the feedback cycle has been pretty intense and I was getting lost in the scrolling screens of comments. What did we talk about? Which comments are we implementing? What needs to be researched? Ack! I can’t remember all of that.
So here are a few items that I am relying on to help with the crazier review cycles.
Use the right-hand navigation to quickly filter the view, for example all items in a Pending status or comments from a specific Reviewer.
This is a collapsed view of slide comments. Updating the Status changes the header bars from the default blue to the colorful options below. Talk about a quick visual indicator! You could also change the Assigned field to a developer name if helpful.
RMEL is already a big time saver and super helpful for receiving and tracking feedback. Hopefully you will find some of these lessons applicable to your reviews.
Happy learning!
